While R. is catching mosquitos jumping on the bed in the other room, I am laying on the couch after this long week. I haven’t been around this blog for quite some time and haven’t posted anything meaningful of carrying some sort of sense for some weeks. This will not be an exception.

Last week my mum came to visit and we went to the first family reunion I ever witnessed. It was nice, we met some of the family members for the first time and finally saw others after years. The person I loved seeing the most is my grandma. She’s the one I inherited the love for translating from, that’s what she always likes to underline.

After the weekend my mum left and a crazy week started. We have been watching many matches of the European Football Championship, we have been thinking and making projects, as always, and we have been making our home a tiny little bit more homey.

Now this weekend is all I need now, along with bare feet and my bed.

Looking forward to the weekend..

This weekend was entirely dedicated to cleaning  home, not having to make up or dress up for the the world outside and to spending time together =)

Therefore I just wore this comfortable white dress, which I bought at the market last year. It was a lovely day.

This week will be very busy. I am writing my final essay, studying for exams and getting ready to teach some more Italian =) Fortunately it is raining right now, so I am not longing to go outside.

Questo weekend è stato interamente dedicato alla casa (l’abbiamo pulita da cima a fondo), al non truccarsi o vestirsi bene per uscire e al passare un po’ di tempo insieme =)

Perciò ho messo questo vestitino semplice, ma comodissimo che ho comprato al mercato l’anno scorso. E’ stata una giornata proprio bella.

Questa settimana ho tante cose da fare, sto continuando a scrivere la tesi e devo anche studiare per i prossimi esami. Inoltre sto preparando il materiale per le prossime lezioni di Italiano che darò. Menomale che piove, almeno non ho voglia di uscire.

I’m not sure if I’m gonna miss you / Weekend Recap

I am still tired from this weekend. Roberto and I walked so much. I know I will be back in Turin soon, but it felt like a goodbye for me, because it was the last full week I spent in the city. Guess you did already understand I won’t miss it that much.

Here are just some pics of the past days. I am currently working on my final essay and am quite busy. Yesterday and tonight were a total mess, I felt so sick and just couldn’t do anything. I hate it when I can’t do anything but lying on the couch, I never stay calm for more than 5 minutes and I feel like I always “should” do something, achieve something otherwise I feel guilty. I still have to learn that I am worthy some moments of relax, and even on weekends I want to do as many things as possible thinking I am “missing” some opportunities.

Sono ancora stanca dalle camminate di queto weekend. So che tornerò a Torino presto, ma è stato come un addio, dato che quella appena passata è stata l’ultima settimana intera che passerò in città. Avrete già capito che non mi mancherà poi così tanto.

Qui trovate delle foto del fine settimana. Al momento sto lavorando alla tesi e sono abbastanza indaffarata. Ieri e stanotte sono state un disastro, sono stata malissimo e non riuscivo a fare niente. Odio quando non posso muovermi perchè sono una che non sta mai ferma un secondo e sento come la sensazione di dover empre essere in moto per raggiungere qualche obiettivo, se no mi sento in colpa. Devo ancora imparare che mi merito qualche minuto di relax qua e là, e anche nei weekend voglio sempre fare più cose possibili per paura di perdere qualche opportunità.

Always late / Weekend recap

I am never late in real life, except for posting on the blog.

• Baked a chocolate, peaches cake for my daddy’s birthday.
• Dressed up with a fake fur and my mum’s vintage sunglasses and had so much fun shooting pictures
• Mattia, my nephew, participated in all this.
• Roberto made a super yummy salad for me.

Non sono assolutamente una ritardataria nella vita reale, ma nel postare sul mio blog sono la peggiore.

• Ho preparato una torta al cioccolato e alle pesche.
• Ci siamo travestiti con la pelliccia finta di mia mamma e i suoi occhiali vintage e ci siamo divertiti un sacco scattando fotografie.
• Mattia, il mio nipotino, ha partecipato al divertimento.
• Roberto mi ha preparato una buonissima insalata, tutta per me.

Yes&No / Weekend Recap

This weekend was filled with yes & no moments. From one axtreme to the other, it changed very quickly. Smiles and tears. One after the other. I don’t know why, but it’s happening more and more often.

Anyway, I am here to share with you the =) moments. Obviously with some shoots of the weekend:

• Pizza I made for Roberto on Friday night. He came here at 8 pm and I was so happy, Finally there had been some sun and I was feeling the spring so much. Add a glass of white wine and a walk after dinner (+ pub ^^)
• At a new, for us, pub. Lovely Irish-y atmosphere. Drinking a beer and chatting. (There was the first no moment -.-)
• Via Po, one of the main streets of Turin. The tram is one of the things I love the most about the city, I like the sound of the horn/bell.
• After a day at the park we went to Cioccolatò, walking around and letting our mouths water. Roberto ate a “Chocolate Kebab“, a flat piadina bread with looots of chocolate, nutella and cream. IT wasn’t even that big, but he couldn’t get himself to finish it, it was supefilling =)
• Roberto writing something sweet (for meee ^^) at the “Bacio Perugina” stand. Did you notice how tanned he already is after just one day (a few hours, actually) in the sun?
• As per usual, we went for a ride on the bikes in the park, later that day.
• Saturday evening we went to another pub, a noew one (not only for us) called “BlahBlah“. I loved the people, the coclours and the idea of letting some books on the shelves (nice books! about music and culture and so on) which everyone can read (I know..who wants to read a book at 1am, but this place opens also in the morning for breakfast and at lunch).
• Same place, I loved this. “What is a cheap taste?”

The end of the weekend wasn’t the best, but now I am looking forward to see and cuddle with Roby again. I miss him from the moment that he leaves.

It’s already Wednesday, I think I am just a bit late with this recap, but alas. This sunny weather is keeping me away from the computer and actually I don’t mind at all. (I am also studying lots and lots)(in the sun ^^).

Il fine settimana scorso è stato pieno di momenti sì e momenti no. Da un estremo all’altro, tutto cambiava molto velocemente. Sorrisi e pianti, uno dopo l’altro. Non so il motivo, ma sta succedendo sempre più spesso.

Comunque. Sono qui per condividere qui i momenti =), ovviamente con degli scatti di questo weekend.

• la pizza che ho fatto per Roberto venerdì sera. E’ arrivato alle 20 e io ero felicissima, la giornata era stata molto calda e finalmente sentivo la primavera. Aggiungete un bicchiere di vino bianco e un giro a piedi dopo cena (+ pub^^).
• a un pub nuovo per noi, con una bellissima atmosfera irlandese. Abbiamo bevuto una birra e chiacchierato un po’ (ecco il primo momento no).
• Via Po, Torino. Una delle cose che mi piace di più della città sono i tram. Mi piace un sacco il suono del campanello.
• Dopo una giornata al parco abbiamo fatto un giro a Cioccolatò. Roberto ha preso un kebab al cioccolato, una piadina con scaglione di cioccolato, nutella e panna. Non era nemmeno gigante, ma non è riuscito a finirlo da quanto era pesante.
• Roberto che scrive qualcosa di dolce per me allo stand dei Baci. Avete notato com’è già abbronzato dopo solo un paio di ore al sole?
• Come sempre siamo andati a fare un giro per il parco in bici, più tardi.
• Sabato sera siamo andati a un nuovo locale, il “BlahBlah“. Mi è piaciuta molto la gente,  i colori e l’idea di lasciare dei libri sugli scaffali a disposizione della clientela (dei bei libri sulla musica, cultura e arte) (vi chiederete chi abbia voglia di leggere un libro all’1 di notte, ma il locale è aperto anche a colazione e pranzo).
• Stesso posto. Mi è piaciuto un sacco questo messaggio.

La fine del weekend non è stato dei migliori, ma ora non vedo l’ora di vederlo e coccolarlo =). Mi manca già quando parte.

E’ già mercoledì e mi redo conto che è un po’ tardi per questo post, ma vabbè. Questo osle mi sta tenendo lontana dal computer e sinceramente non mi dispiace affatto. (bè sto anche studiando, al sole).

Happy Spring!

I know yesterday I told you I would have showed you a video, and I really wanted to, but I made one with movie maker and then it doesn’t upload on YouTube, why?

Anyway, I will be showing you some random photos then, as an alternative. Don’t know if you’re interested, but that just what I’ve done this weekend. Enjoying the time with Roberto. I couldn’t ask for more.

A propos: I think I will be introducing him to you soon. I know I’ve mentioned him and most of times will be talking about him, therefore I think you would wonder what face does hide behind that name =)

I had a long day at Uni and after coming back home studied and did some homework. I am going to relax a little right now, I think I’ll be falling asleep pretty soon. Hope you’ve started the week at its best.

Buona primavera!

So di avervi detto ieri che vi avrei mostrato un video, e volevo veramente farlo, ma ho montato il tutto con movie maker e ora YouTube non lo carica, perchè?

In ogni caso, vi mostrerò delle foto molto casuali, come alternativa. Non so fino a che punto possiate essere interessati, ma è questo quel che ho fatto durante il weekend: passare un po’ di tempo con Roberto. Non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio.

A proposito: penso che ve lo presenterò molto presto. So di aver parlato di lui spesso e che probabilmente ne parlerò ancora molto, quindi penso che possiate chiedervi che faccia si cela dietro a questo nome =)

Io ho avuto una lunga giornata in Università, e dopo esser tornata a casa ho anche studiato e fatto un po’ di compiti. Adesso mi rilasserò un pochino, penso che mi addormenterò molto presto. Spero che la vostra settimana sia ocminciata al meglio.

Only Girl / Weekend Recap

While on Twitter I read everybody was enjoying the sun this weekend. We were not that lucky, it rained non-stop from Friday to Sunday evening. Now that it’s Monday the sun is shining again. Oh well, spring is getting nearer, let’s hope the weather will be better next weekend.

However, Roberto and I had the chance to have some “us-time”, he listened to my rants, we sung, we laughed and had fun.

We went to a pizzeria on the seaside (photos 1 and 2) on Friday night. On Saturday we babysitted my nephew (photo 3), stayed inside because it was raining cats and dogs outside (photo 5), even if we spotted the first blossom on the trees (yay!), and finally went out to play bowling with some friends, elegant shoes, right? (photos 6 and 7). Oh, and I lost.

By the way, when I got at my parents’ on Friday there was something in the mail for me: the set of wonderful notebooks by Paperblanks, which I won in on of their Giveaways on Twitter (photo 4).They’re amazing, I already have the planner and it’s the most handy and useful I have ever had.
