Yesterday was the last day at work for Roberto.

To celebrate I made him cake.

We met for the first time, the cake and I, the day after my graduation. The host of the bed and breakfast we where staying in prepared this beautiful breakfast with this crumbly, very crunchy cake, la Torta Sbrisolona.

The cake comes from Mantova and it’s made with lots of almonds and butter. It has do be made as crumbly as possible, and I succeeded, because this morning I brought Roberto breakfast in bed. And crumbles were everywhere.
