“Mi piace” means “I like” in Italian. This is a series in which I will show you and link to photos, songs, videos and articles I liked the past week(s). I am constantly inspired by so many things that there will be no shortage. Often I am inspired by things that happen to me in everyday life, so be prepared to read stories of what happened to me this or that time..
We have been exploring the country a lot lately, and we haven’t really cooked or baked anything gourmet (except for the time I skipped the gym to make a gluten free apple pie from scratch but couldn’t take a picture of it because I already had eaten half of it). It also has been a while since the last Mi piace post (click here for the first three parts of this series: 1 / 2 / 3), and it is rainy today, everyone needs some inspiration on a rainy day, wether it’s just some nice music to listen to while lying on the couch, a nice movie to watch, or some words that will lift up your spirit. So here you go with Mi Piace #4.
~ Big Easy Express: If you like Mumford and Sons, country music, music documentaries or just music in general, you will like this movie. Three bands: Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, and Old Crow Medicine Show, travel across the Southern states of the U.S. on a train; at each city they stop, they perform together and during the trip they write music, play all together and create amazing art. In this video, Mumford and Sons ask a high school marching band to join them in performing The Cave; such an amazing performance!
~ Lately, I have been Instagram obsessed. During the breaks at work I always check what the people I follow have been up to, and as soon as I have a day off and get to see some nice places, I like to post a photo or a few on my feed.
~ Jorian‘s blog: Een en al vrolijkheid. I met Jorian at the shop she works in; She is such a happy and enthusiastic girl! I love people like that, who doesn’t? So, go and check her blog out, especially if you like interior design: she decorates her little home amazingly! Plus, she is an avid Instagrammer too! (The blog is in Dutch, but I am sure you will appreciate the photos even if you don’t speak the language).
~ Lastly, some of you asked me to share more of the music I like on here. I usually linked the songs to a video on YouTube, but it’s much nicer to hear directly what I am talking about on a playlist. That’s why I decided to start a Details, naturally playlist on Spotify. It is now filled with 25 songs, and I will add songs every week. You can follow the playlist if you like, so that you will receive a notification whenever I will add songs.
The playlist contains songs I would listen to on a regular basis, some old songs which remind me (and maybe you, too?) my childhood, some relaxing song, some happy songs.. a mix, basically. Take it as a mix tape you got from a friend back in school (did you ever? Am I being talking prehistoric here?);
